Nathan Leydon

About Me

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Performance from The Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Nathan Leydon is a Gold Coast Based Double Bassist. Having started playing the Double Bass at the age of eight Nathan has played in a number of Youth Orchestras and developed the skills to allow him to educate the next generation of Double Bassists. While a candidate for the Bachelor of Music Nathan has performed with a number of world class conductors. Having performed with Opera Australia in their production of Verdi’s Aida and The Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University's production of Mahler’s Eighth Symphony. Nathan is also an active member of the State Honours Ensemble Program as a conductor’s assistant and project support working with both conductors and the future generations of musicians. Nathan has also performed with in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Camerata: Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra through their community programs.
